Biography

Dr. Pedro Mego is an American Board of Internal Medicine Diplomate in the areas of Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.  Dr. Mego has a special interest in peripheral artery disease treatment and is an Endovascular Diplomate of the American Board of Vascular Medicine. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease, peripheral vascular disease, and provides advanced heart care for all conditions – from common to complex. 

Dr. Mego received his medical degree from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos School of Medicine in Peru. He completed residency training in internal medicine at New York Medical College at Metropolitan Hospital Center. Dr. Mego continued his education with a cardiology fellowship at Montreal Heart Institute and University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, followed by an interventional cardiology fellowship at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
