This program was designed to assess evidence-based practices and standards of care for patients with hard to heal wounds. By addressing these needs we will attempt to narrow the gap and optimize the healing process of wounds. This program will discuss the differences and causative factors of wounds including the pathophysiology and the pharmacological and non-pharmacological modalities currently available. The goal is to increase the knowledge and competence of the healthcare provider by equipping them with the latest recommendations for Hospital Acquired Pressure Injuries in order to develop new skills or strategies that will improve the optimal delivery of patient care through evidence-based recommendations in wound care.
