Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery
This minimally invasive technique uses a thin, lighted tube with a camera called a laparoscope. Placed through small incisions, the surgeon uses the laparoscope to perform many different procedures, such as gallbladder removal, hernia repair, or abdominal surgery.
Breast Surgery
We provide surgical care for people with non-cancerous breast conditions and those who have or are at a high risk of getting breast cancer. Areas of expertise include mastectomy, lumpectomy, surgical biopsy, and lymph node dissection. If you have been diagnosed with breast cancer, we will work closely with your oncologist and reconstructive surgeon to coordinate procedures and minimize the number of operations needed.

Our surgeons treat the full-spectrum of diseases of the colon, rectum and anus. We specialize in both open and laparoscopic surgery for conditions such as anal fissures, anal fistulas, colon cancer, rectal cancer, incontinence, and others. Through our team approach, we will develop a treatment plan to help you regain a healthy, active life.
Gallbladder Removal
Your gallbladder is the organ located on the upper right side of your abdomen, just behind your liver. Cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder wall, which is usually caused by a gallstone. A cholecystectomy is the procedure to remove your gallbladder. The procedure requires laparoscopic surgery, meaning you will have 4 small incisions in which special surgical tools and a camera are inserted. By using a minimally invasive technique, you will recover faster and easier.
Hernia Repair
A hernia occurs when the inner layers of the abdominal wall become weakened, causing tissue to protrude through the abdomen. Hernia repair requires surgery, either by hand (open surgery) or a minimally invasive technique using the da Vinci Surgical System. Our surgeons have earned the Surgical Review Corporation Center of Excellence Hernia Surgery (COEHS). DHR Health is the first accredited COEHS center in the State of Texas.
Hidden Scar Breast Surgery
Breast cancer can be surgically removed with a mastectomy procedure (your surgeon will remove all of your breast tissue) or a lumpectomy procedure (your surgeon will remove only part of your breast tissue). With a Hidden Scar approach, your surgeon will place your incision in a location that is hard to see, so that the scar is not visible when your incision heals. As a result, you have little to no visible reminder of the surgery or your cancer.
Robotic Surgery
Our surgeons use the da Vinci Si Surgical System to perform minimally invasive surgery. This system allows our surgeons to operate with even more precision, efficiency, and control, which means you can recover and get back to your life faster.
